Our Services
Private Projects;
Every project is different in some way which reflects on our services we provide for you and fees we charge. However most
projects fall into several phases;
Initial Discussion - Often on the telephone, this allows use to clarify certain key information plot size, location,
rough idea of your objectives and a good time and date for our designer to meet you.
First Meeting - The purpose of this is to gain a proper understanding of your requirements you have for your garden,
the style and period of your property and the surrounding environment. Our designer will also explain the design process at
this point.
Following this meeting we will send you a comprehensive, itemised breakdown of fees for the design of your garden in written
form. On the receipt of your written instruction and acceptance we move to the next step.
Site Survey - A fully detailed, digital topographical survey is prepared, this includes the position of your property,
boundaries, trees, inspection covers, ground levels and all other elements in your plot.
Concept Design - This is the point our designer commits designs to paper. Our proposed design for your garden is presented
to you in person in sketch form. You will have a very clear indication what your garden will look like. Our designer can also
go over any areas of uncertainty. We take time to listen to you on your reactions to the design and any particular concerns
or preferences.
Detailed Design - following your approval of our concept design our designer will draw up an accurately scaled drawing
of your new plot/garden. This drawing will be presented to you before we start on your planting design. When our designer
see you for this they will take time to talk to you about planting and will show you a list with pictures of plants best for
your garden. This will help our designer understand what sort of plants and colours you like/dislike.
Planting Plan - Taking into account our meeting of what plants you like and dislike our designer will construct a detailed
scaled planting scheme for your garden then they will come and present into to you.
Construction Drawing - Detailed construction drawing of all hard landscaping elements within your garden are constructed.
Site sections and setting out plans are constructed at this process, this is to make sure the implementation of your garden/plot
goes as smooth as planed.
Specifications - This is a detailed written write up of the specifications of your garden which goes along with the
constructions drawings to any landscape contractors if you are not using us. This does mean that quotations from these parties
will be a like to like basis for the building and planting of your garden.
Building and Planting the Garden - We do like our designer to be here for this stage for your benefit mainly, we find
that it does help this stage go smoother if the designer is involved, if you are using an outside contractor. On the other
hand if you are using use to do this stage then the designer will be involved along side our construction team.
Design Fees;
Without assessing a project it is hard to calculate the overall cost of the design our fees start from about £750.00
+ VAT.
